Anthropologist.

Raquel specializes in training, research, publications, and advising within socio-medical issues.  She has worked at public institutions, various universities and Secretary of State, as well as private, senior residencies and laboratories, in Mexico and abroad.  

She serves as a bridge between health personnel (doctors, nurses, students), and patients and their families to sensitize and allow a better understanding and acceptance. Much of her work discusses the Tercera Edad (Third Age), the aging process and its consequences such as losses, retirement, widowhood. 

Raquel has written ̈Emotional Gardening ̈, her column, for four years in SER MAYOR magazine. She is an enthusiastic promoter and activist for social assistance, a participative and dynamic mother and grandmother and, a student, learning everyday.
